What to do when you fail

Your start may be shaky or wavy – don’t conclude that just because of that, you are doomed to fail in the end. In league games, you win some and lose some, but those who emerge champions don’t always win everything. Calling yourself a failure for a momentary setback doesn’t make you any better. You aren’t a genius for simply calling yourself an idiot and never-do-well. Self-pity and self-condemnation does not contribute to self-determination.

So, what to do when you fail at everything is if you fail, take a short break to ponder why. Assess what went wrong. Look for how to make it right, and move on. Sitting to moan or mourn takes you out of contest and where you don’t contest you don’t emerge. You aren’t the only one that has failed – those ahead also did, and those behind will do likewise. So rise up from your defeat and get ready for the next test!
