The reality of life is that it’s not “first come first served –“ it’s the one who desires it most that gets it. If you’re seated, waiting for your turn, the one who came after you, will get it first, and the sad news is that you may never get anything depending on your attitude – what makes you get anything out of this space called earth is your attitude. These days, rewards aren’t based on longevity – they’re based on drive, desire, and determination. If you think rewards are your entitlements, you’ll end up with nothing. There are lots of people born and raised in affluence, who end up as never-do-well, because they felt they were entitled to do well due to their backgrounds. They didn’t see their statuses as privileges, and as typical of privileges, you must be careful of it, otherwise, you’ll lose it – they lost…

There was a time when where I am, was the dream of where I wanted to be. There was also a time when who I am was my aspiration – I desired to think the way I think, do the things I do, and live the way I live. Back then, I was hungry for it – I wanted to be it – I wanted to live my dream. The crave to become what I wanted to be was uppermost in my heart. The only picture I saw was my dream. Bit by bit, I fought the odds of life and every limitation that held me bound. I worked on the slimmest opportunities I had, and where they were non-existent, I scratched the surfaces of rocks to get drops of water from within. On few occasions, I got a few cups that would keep me alive as I trod the…

When last night, Liverpool beat Barcelona to qualify for the 2019 Champions League Final, I was one of those that concluded before the match that Liverpool would never make it. I didn’t bother talking about it on the social media because I felt it was a foregone issue. I didn’t watch the match because I was busy at work, but I followed the update on BBC Sport, just for the sake of enjoying football. When at the seventh minute, Origi scored for Liverpool, I thought it was just one of those, and that sooner than later, Barcelona would cancel out the goal, and may even add one or two before the end of the game. I knew when the first half was getting ended, because I refreshed the page. For about an hour, I didn’t have the time to check the scores, but when I finally did, I screamed aloud…

Passion is when you are strong about something you love to do. For examples like your talent because you have the desire to do it. Some people have different types of passions like; being on TV, writing books or even being an inspirational speaker. Now let’s move on to people who have these passions. Number 1, Walt Disney – when Disney was growing up, he was obviously working to earn more cash but also on his spare time, he was drawing pictures. But the first picture he ever sold was a picture of his neighbour’s horse. He didn’t stop there, he kept on working very hard night and day to be an amazing artist and have a very famous film company. Number 2, Thomas Jefferson is so celebrated as a statesman, writer, architect and librarian – it’s easy to miss the fact that he was a celebrated violinist. Jefferson took…

I woke up around 0200, 27 December 2018, and had just one thing in mind, “What New Year Message should I send to those who follow my blog, or what sort of article should I write, without necessarily repeating what I have done in the past?” After pondering for a while, I came to my usual conviction that a message of success never changes its skeletal formation-it may wear a different skin colour, but the principles remain the same. With this in mind, I decided to give what is needful, though it may end up with the same intention. I am a man with a deep pondering heart. Those who see me from the surface only know the comedian in me. Others who look a little bit below my skin see the anger in me, because sometimes, I am ferocious, but those who live with me understand how I do…

Moving from Words to Tangibility At first, I thought it was a disadvantage, but until my eyes started getting larger, I didn’t know that one of man’s greatest privileges is to start life from the scratch. When those born with diamonds on the souls of their feet rant, I look beyond the glittering of man’s hardest substance – I look beyond the treasures measured by man’s covetous vision. When I was little, I heard stories, which weren’t favourable about me. I heard of rejections, abandonment. Because I know that life begins with a cell, I didn’t feel pained to build my life from where it was dropped inside rubbles. I am not angry. I am not offended. I am only grateful that I was given the opportunity to live, even if my life started from the scratch. There are lots of children without genealogy – their history was stolen from…

Driving On The Wheels of Destiny I am beating myself. I am saying to myself, no access. Even the best compass wouldn’t give me hope, because where I stand would confuse it. This is a place of riddles – riddles that puzzle, but have no one with the wisdom to interpret them. There are no lanes – practically no directions. It’s a remote habitat – inhabited by only those that have been dealt uppercuts by this reckless life. Yes, they said it’s a road, but it obviously has no lanes. This is the summary of existence – the untold story – the unedited version – the one we don’t want anyone to read, all because we’re all painters, colouring images on the boards of life, to make everything look attractive, like we were born without pains, and like we lived without pains. But every history is hidden in mystery. Even…

What makes people succeed in their endeavours are the little bits of positive things they consistently do, and what makes many fail is either not doing the things they should do, or doing what they shouldn’t do. I failed many times, not because I did what I shouldn’t do, but because I didn’t do what I should do. Until I began to be a doer, I didn’t succeed in my pursuits. To help you succeed, I will tell you ‘The 20 Lessons that Helped Me Stand Out in Life.’ Lesson one – You must have a plan: you can’t reach anywhere without a plan. You can become anything tangible without a plan. You can do anything worthwhile without a plan. Your excellence or underachievement is a reflection of whether you planned it or not. When it is well planned, it has the potential to be well executed. Excellence is when…

When you see me dance, it doesn’t always mean that the music is rhythmic. I just want to prove that life isn’t all about melody but harmony. When I laugh, it doesn’t mean I’m always happy. I just have the audacity to say to sadness, you can’t control me. Maturity begins with taking responsibilities for your own actions, status and position. If you always think someone is responsible for your failures, without looking inward, you have no place on the arena of progress. The blame game may offer you emotional satisfaction, but it changes nothing – the only thing that’ll reposition you is defying the odds, without allowing the distractions of others affect your golden pursuit. If you don’t get bitter, but decide instead, to get better, you’ll be greater. Except you build your life, and I mean, your very life, you’ll remain a punching bag to those with upper…

When people don’t like you, sometimes, somehow, you look inwards to do a soul-search, and to see if you’ve done anything wrong, so that you can make amends. If you aren’t careful, you’d become so critical of yourself to the extent of being so self-negative. Sometimes, when you search within and evaluate yourself, you can’t really see anything that should make a rational human being hate you. At this point, you must understand that ‘when people hate you, you’re not always wrong. They just can’t stand you being right.’ Being right upsets some people. Being truthful and wisely honest irritate some people. They just want you to be in their corner, even when they’re conspicuously wrong. Don’t give in to them, and don’t give up on your values. Stand up and be counted, and even if they don’t count you, keep standing!
