Every success story is replicable. Every borrowed idea with the intent to honestly use produces the same result. Every beautiful edifice seen somewhere can be erected anywhere if there is the will and commitment to start and finish it. There is no impossibility where the heart to build is existent. Even if you can’t think, if you can see, you can become. There is hope for Africa, yes, there is. We go in phase, we passed through different phases. From huts, we moved to bricks, even if we were configured to remain in muds. I am not playing the blame game, but the many roads we walked were enough to get us stuck. Somehow, we wriggled out, and positioned ourselves where we are today. Today isn’t bleak, but it isn’t bright either. There are errors, there is self-centeredness, but in this very confusion, there are those with the mind to…

Welcome to 2017. The year has started rolling, and the days have started counting. Whatever you plan for the year, you must start now, or you may never start. I believe in NOW – it has always been my philosophy; and with that, I defeat procrastination. As you run through your plans and envision your expectations, you must recognize that you aren’t the only one that’ll walk through the 2017 road; there are lots of people with diverse aspirations, inspirations and intentions. They too want to make progress. They too want to succeed. They too want to cut their own share of the cake as we celebrate the end of this year come December. Knowing who walks on your road, knowing who runs on same lane with you, and knowing who steps on same track with you is quintessential as you marathon through the twelve months ahead of you. It…

For some, 2016 was quick to go, and for others, it was too sluggish. Just like every other year, it was a massive success for some, and a few more people would complain that it brought nothing lucratively memorable for them. Whatever the year meant to you, there’s nothing you can do now, and you don’t have the ability of stopping it to wind up and close it’s own chapter. For a progress-minded person, what you can do now is look ahead, and what is currently ahead of you is 2017. 2016 represents history, but 2017 stands for opportunity. Many people moan of not being given opportunities, but here comes one before you – what you do with it is massive to how you end up, come December 2017. How you end does not depend on how much you have now, or will have, but how you manage the resource…

Some days, you’re high, and you feel you can bring down a mountain, and some other days, you’re left wondering and moaning why life has been so unfair to you. It is easy to manage the days of motivation, but true strength isn’t seen when everything goes well; it is conspicuous when everything turns against you. Your reaction to the exuberance of life and situations is what determines your courage to win. So, how do you bounce back when hit by unexpected eventualities? In the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Italian Elia Viviani recovered from a devastating crash and fall to win the gold medal in the men’s omnium. In the same crash, South Korea’s Park Sanghoon was hospitalized. On same Olympic Games, Mo Farah fell during the 10000M marathon, but got up to  claim the gold medal. For both champions, it would have been easy to surrender, but they didn’t. No wonder,…

Amongst the challenges of a small business owner are ability and discipline to keep proper records of the business. This is not very surprising as we have a culture of not keeping personal records and that is probably why it is difficult to keep business records. A few years ago, I struggled to write down all my monthly expenses for a proper analysis of how I was spending my money. I failed several times before I got it right. I did not have the consciousness to collect receipts or invoices for many of my purchases and expenses because nobody was going to ask me to account for what I spent. This attitude is not good for business.  Books to Keep Bookkeeping simply means writing down all the money that the business receives (receipts) and all the money that it pays out (payments). You need to keep business documents to be…

As I looked through my electronic jotter to see what to write in order to update my blog, I saw where I wrote down a number of topics and points. I usually, on my way to work or any intended destination never keep my mind blank. I enjoy pondering on issues of interest as I commute, rather than leave my mind empty for silly bedbugs to infest. Sometimes, I am in want of something to write as inspiration doesn’t usually and always surface when you need it, and at some other times, you have so much to write that you wonder when you’ll be able to finish. At this particular time, there was so much to put down because all through the period of redesigning Success Inks website, no article update was done; instead, what should be published were written in bits and pieces of notes. I have looked at…

Every human sets goals consciously or unconsciously. If you decide to walk from Point A to Point B, Point B is obviously your set goal. If a woman decides on a Monday morning that come Saturday, she will do a major shopping, the major shopping becomes the set goal. Without stress, on that Saturday morning, she will go to the supermarket and do her shopping. At the end of the shopping, her goal is achieved. If goal setting comes naturally with one’s area of strength, it becomes easy to attain. Most women love to shop, and so, it goes with their nature. When something is natural, it is self determined. Self determination comes from within. In spite of the above said, I would like to point out that there are people who disobey nature, and therefore, do not conform. When nature prompts you to do something, and you disobey over…

Where there is innovation, tradition always frowns. Tradition has the habit of maintaining the status quo, but innovation wants change because she is bored of doing things same way all time. The hunger for difference drives innovation towards creativity so as to make sure that there is reinvigoration and sprouting of new ideas. This is the case between the old and the new methods of communication. In the old method, mailing letters, sending telegrams and using the telephone were top of the range. In traditional marketing, the use of television, radio and billboard adverts reigned and ruled. But just like in every typical tradition, only those with the money dominate. So, the ordinary man in the street could not afford it. Today, things have changed. The SOCIAL MEDIA rules! Currently, there are about 3 or more billion people on the social media – Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest, Flickr,…

A few weeks ago, I had the title of this article in mind, and my first instinct was to just put it down, and publish. But for a number of years now, I have learnt one lesson; I don’t always go by first instinct. I think through things before I put down things. Even if I have a few minutes to make a decision, I still think through in order to find valuable reasons why I am taking the action or making the decision. I woke up this Christmas morning to ponder on the past, and look into the future. Some mistakes have been made; some lessons also learnt. For many years, I have felt stuck. I have the will to do more. My dream is to help humanity. To reach out to the dying and like SEAL, say a Prayer for the Dying. My hunger had and will always…
