Understanding the Need for Change Management Simply speaking, a fishnet is a net for catching fish. They are made from either polyethylene (resins) or nylon; polyethylene and nylon are chemicals. Polyethylenes are easily molded and are resistant to other chemicals. They can be repeatedly softened and hardened by heating and cooling, and are used for many purposes, such as making containers, tubes, and packaging. Nylon is very strong and elastic, and can be formed into fibers, sheets, or bristles. It is used to make fabrics, plastics, and molded products. Based on their material make, fishnets are classified into high density polyethylene (HDPE),  nylon monofilament, and nylon multifilament. They are transparent, invisible in water, have low drag and abrasion resistance, and high tensile strength, which means that they can be stretched and drawn out – being drawn out means they are ductile, and being ductile is the ability to be made into wire or…

Moving from Words to Tangibility At first, I thought it was a disadvantage, but until my eyes started getting larger, I didn’t know that one of man’s greatest privileges is to start life from the scratch. When those born with diamonds on the souls of their feet rant, I look beyond the glittering of man’s hardest substance – I look beyond the treasures measured by man’s covetous vision. When I was little, I heard stories, which weren’t favourable about me. I heard of rejections, abandonment. Because I know that life begins with a cell, I didn’t feel pained to build my life from where it was dropped inside rubbles. I am not angry. I am not offended. I am only grateful that I was given the opportunity to live, even if my life started from the scratch. There are lots of children without genealogy – their history was stolen from…

I am a man of passion, and sometimes, my passion makes me cross many boundaries. “I see you have a great talent. If you eschew laziness, you’ll make a better person. Stop this silly indolence, and do something with your enviable life.” That was all I said. It was me seeing what he couldn’t see in himself that made me use those words – for I thought that by being a bit harsh, I could pull him out of idleness and make him run with purpose and vision. I was wrong! Instead, he sorted out “laziness” and “indolence” from my statement, and today, he no longer talks to me. So many times as I grew from an “old baby” to a “middle-age man,” I have made mistakes of assuming that everyone wants to grow beyond where they are, and become better, but different occurrences, as they unfold have made me,…

Competition is getting so intense. You can’t sit down and assume that one strategy will take you through your business all week, and you can’t afford to slumber for a second, on the premise that you topped the pack yesterday, therefore, today, you will, also. Competition is ongoing – it’s more than a marathon, and therefore, requires a far more endurance than any long distance athletic competition. So, you need the strategy to compete with your competitors, and outdo them. In the digital world for instance, it’s become a digital war. Everyday, there are new technological disruptions, and even for the new inventions, there are frequent updates – most apps that were designed a year ago without being updated have been outrun by new ones. The pace at which humanity is developing is quicker than the speed of light – except you constantly adapt, and work harder, you’ll be shoved…

At the beginning of this year, I published an article on positioning yourself for a successful year, and as the year is fast moving forward, I felt it sensible to remind you about the points mentioned in that lovely article. To make something out of the rest of this year, and to make sure that by the end of the year, you won’t be biting your nails, and be counting your pains instead of your gains, follow me, as I briefly talk about the following points. 1. Review the Past 6 Months: You can’t tell where you’re heading to, if you don’t know where you’re coming from. You must be able to assess your journey so far, so that you can strategize for the one ahead. Unequivocally speaking, review the past six months and account for it – accounting makes you take responsibility for the successes and failures, or for your indifference.…

Arsene Wenger said, ‘When you look at people who are successful, you will find that they aren’t the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation.’ Consistency is power, and it is what inspires success. Without consistency, every dream will die at birth stage. Those who climbed Mount Everest, didn’t do it without pains – they succeeded because despite the agony, consistency made them reach the summit. The industry bests didn’t attain their goals without the power of consistency. The great champions emerged and ruled in their chosen fields because they were consistent. You can’t achieve anything, you can’t become anything, you can’t reach any enviable height without consistency. I am not excited by your dream – I am excited by your consistency. I don’t respect your flamboyance – I respect your consistency. I am not impressed by your persuasive speech – I am impressed by your consistency.…

Success does not just happen – it comes because someone learnt and followed some principles that make life successful. Without taking much of your time, let me share with you some quotes and their interpretations that will help you live a happy and successful life. 1.  Where you write your vision determines its durability. If you go to the seashore to write your vision on sand, be sure that in a little while, it will be wiped off. If man does not trample that vision, the water will wash it away. Don’t expect a vision written on sand to stand the test of time. Where you write your vision determines its durability. Some people write their visions on pieces of papers, so, they end up in pieces. Some people write their visions, only in their memories, so when their memories fail, their visions also fail. Some people write their visions…

When it comes to dealing with rejection, I will say I am one of those that should have the capacity to deal adequately with the subject because from the womb to adult age, I encountered rejections and won. I don’t want to offend those who stood for me, and family members that showed immense love to me, therefore, I will not be going into details, the roles my parents played in my life, as they weren’t too positive to read. But the truth remains that when I write my autobiography, I will not shield any of them from the hammers because the world need to hear and learn from my painful experiences. In a previous book I wrote, I only gave a hint of my childhood and how it has come to shape my life, but if I hadn’t looked at the sunny side of life, I would have ended…

In 2010, I really came to understand the importance of knowing your purpose in life. Not like I didn’t previously understand, but when I talk about knowing, I am talking about coming to that consciousness and dawning of a new day – it was like a seal was opened, and I suddenly became aware that there was something I should be doing, which I haven’t been doing, and that thing is my life’s purpose. It was that dawn that gave birth to my writing, inspirational public speaking and motivational blogging. Since that day, I have never looked back. I am one believer who thinks that everyone was made for a reason, just like every product on the shop shelf was developed with the intent to solve a certain problem. A detergent for instance, was made to keep fabrics clean, and if it doesn’t, its purpose is defeated. It will be…
