Arsene Wenger said, ‘When you look at people who are successful, you will find that they aren’t the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation.’ Consistency is power, and it is what inspires success. Without consistency, every dream will die at birth stage. Those who climbed Mount Everest, didn’t do it without pains – they succeeded because despite the agony, consistency made them reach the summit. The industry bests didn’t attain their goals without the power of consistency. The great champions emerged and ruled in their chosen fields because they were consistent. You can’t achieve anything, you can’t become anything, you can’t reach any enviable height without consistency. I am not excited by your dream – I am excited by your consistency. I don’t respect your flamboyance – I respect your consistency. I am not impressed by your persuasive speech – I am impressed by your consistency.…

Success does not just happen – it comes because someone learnt and followed some principles that make life successful. Without taking much of your time, let me share with you some quotes and their interpretations that will help you live a happy and successful life. 1.  Where you write your vision determines its durability. If you go to the seashore to write your vision on sand, be sure that in a little while, it will be wiped off. If man does not trample that vision, the water will wash it away. Don’t expect a vision written on sand to stand the test of time. Where you write your vision determines its durability. Some people write their visions on pieces of papers, so, they end up in pieces. Some people write their visions, only in their memories, so when their memories fail, their visions also fail. Some people write their visions…

When it comes to dealing with rejection, I will say I am one of those that should have the capacity to deal adequately with the subject because from the womb to adult age, I encountered rejections and won. I don’t want to offend those who stood for me, and family members that showed immense love to me, therefore, I will not be going into details, the roles my parents played in my life, as they weren’t too positive to read. But the truth remains that when I write my autobiography, I will not shield any of them from the hammers because the world need to hear and learn from my painful experiences. In a previous book I wrote, I only gave a hint of my childhood and how it has come to shape my life, but if I hadn’t looked at the sunny side of life, I would have ended…

In 2010, I really came to understand the importance of knowing your purpose in life. Not like I didn’t previously understand, but when I talk about knowing, I am talking about coming to that consciousness and dawning of a new day – it was like a seal was opened, and I suddenly became aware that there was something I should be doing, which I haven’t been doing, and that thing is my life’s purpose. It was that dawn that gave birth to my writing, inspirational public speaking and motivational blogging. Since that day, I have never looked back. I am one believer who thinks that everyone was made for a reason, just like every product on the shop shelf was developed with the intent to solve a certain problem. A detergent for instance, was made to keep fabrics clean, and if it doesn’t, its purpose is defeated. It will be…

Many people are talented but taking it to the level where it gets to be noticed and appreciated is where a lot have issues. The worst problem is that those with real talents don’t even believe they have them, and due to that, they stay continuously backstage. Staying backstage when you’re supposed to be on stage is disserve to you and your world. To get you on stage, I will tell you 10 tips that will take your talent to the top level. Find it: Ask yourself, ‘What am I best at?’ There’s something you love to do most. There’s a passion you are endeared to. Dig that passion out of the mud where it’s hidden. Wash it. Polish it. Use it. Believe it: It’s pointless finding something and not believing in it. Whatever you believe, you succeed in. Without belief, without faith, nothing is achievable. You’ve got to believe…

What are soft skills and why are they important? Soft skills are also known as transferrable or professional skills – transferrable, meaning, no matter where you’ve worked or whatever your job description was, those skills can be useful if you decide to change your career. For instance, if you once worked as a teacher, and decide to go into journalism, you will always find soft skills very useful. Soft skills are different from hard skills because hard skills cannot be transferred to other professions. If for example, you were a doctor, you can’t transfer medical skills to electrical engineering. In summary, soft skills are personal attributes that enable a person interact effectively, successfully and harmoniously with other people, environments, and workplace. It is people skills. The list of soft skills useful for life, career, business, and talent are as follows. 1. Good Communication skills: in my opinion, and from my…

You may have noticed many times that when cooking, the steam from the pot burns your skin harder than boiling water. The reason is because the energy of the steam is higher than that of boiling water. If the pots were humans, imagine how much pains they have to endure because they’ve been covered with lids in order to cook something. Pots may not be humans, but in figurative terms, some humans are pots. How? When someone hurts you, and you refuse to forgive, you are producing a steam within. Unfortunately, because your inside is covered up, the steam does no one else harm but you. The only solution to your problem is to uncover; exhale! If you don’t exhale, you will be cooking yourself within, and not too long, your internal organs will start showing you the impact of bottling someone. Then, you’ll become worse than those who hurt…

Not all bad is bad – some bad could be signposts to good. We make hasty conclusions when certain things happen, so we moan and complain bitterly until we run ourselves into unnecessary depression – even if for real, no depression is necessary. I have learned a few things in life, and one of them is the realization of when change is about to happen. And for this, I am able to weather certain storms and sail through the turbulence, although shaky, until I finally emerge into safe haven. Mind you, I haven’t said it’s easy to sail, and I haven’t also said you never feel the pains when you are harassed by a mountain of challenges. What I am saying is that certain challenges aren’t problems – they are examination questions requiring the right answers needed to take you from your current status to the next level. If you…

A goal is an expectation based on purposeful planning, strategies, tactics, feedback and reviews, and actions taken. In a simple term, it is what you want to achieve within a certain period of time, and what you will do to achieve it or how you will go about achieving it. If you have no goal, don’t expect any result or outcome. Those without goals don’t fail because there isn’t an index of evaluation – it is those that have set goals but didn’t achieve their expectations that are considered to have failed to reach their visions – the reality is that those who set no goals are failures. If you enter a year without a foresight of what you want to receive or attain at the end of that year, there wasn’t actually a point making it into that year – this may be harsh, but it’s a fact. On…

In my first article for 2018, I advised my readers and followers to position themselves for success, and in it, I mentioned that anyone that does not set goals is set to fail, and anyone that does, without a committed effort to make it work is also doomed to fail. After publishing the article, I felt a need to emphasise the importance of finding your lane for success in 2018. I know that life is a marathon, not a sprint, and before someone swiftly points out that in marathons, you don’t need to run in lanes, let me quickly do this explanation – all the partitioned lanes in a marathon form a single lane if the race is taking place in a stadium – and if it’s a road marathon, the roads form the lane. So you see, in a marathon, there’s a lane; if you run outside the lane,…
