Moving from Words to Tangibility At first, I thought it was a disadvantage, but until my eyes started getting larger, I didn’t know that one of man’s greatest privileges is to start life from the scratch. When those born with diamonds on the souls of their feet rant, I look beyond the glittering of man’s hardest substance – I look beyond the treasures measured by man’s covetous vision. When I was little, I heard stories, which weren’t favourable about me. I heard of rejections, abandonment. Because I know that life begins with a cell, I didn’t feel pained to build my life from where it was dropped inside rubbles. I am not angry. I am not offended. I am only grateful that I was given the opportunity to live, even if my life started from the scratch. There are lots of children without genealogy – their history was stolen from…

Driving On The Wheels of Destiny I am beating myself. I am saying to myself, no access. Even the best compass wouldn’t give me hope, because where I stand would confuse it. This is a place of riddles – riddles that puzzle, but have no one with the wisdom to interpret them. There are no lanes – practically no directions. It’s a remote habitat – inhabited by only those that have been dealt uppercuts by this reckless life. Yes, they said it’s a road, but it obviously has no lanes. This is the summary of existence – the untold story – the unedited version – the one we don’t want anyone to read, all because we’re all painters, colouring images on the boards of life, to make everything look attractive, like we were born without pains, and like we lived without pains. But every history is hidden in mystery. Even…

What makes people succeed in their endeavours are the little bits of positive things they consistently do, and what makes many fail is either not doing the things they should do, or doing what they shouldn’t do. I failed many times, not because I did what I shouldn’t do, but because I didn’t do what I should do. Until I began to be a doer, I didn’t succeed in my pursuits. To help you succeed, I will tell you ‘The 20 Lessons that Helped Me Stand Out in Life.’ Lesson one – You must have a plan: you can’t reach anywhere without a plan. You can become anything tangible without a plan. You can do anything worthwhile without a plan. Your excellence or underachievement is a reflection of whether you planned it or not. When it is well planned, it has the potential to be well executed. Excellence is when…

When you see me dance, it doesn’t always mean that the music is rhythmic. I just want to prove that life isn’t all about melody but harmony. When I laugh, it doesn’t mean I’m always happy. I just have the audacity to say to sadness, you can’t control me. Maturity begins with taking responsibilities for your own actions, status and position. If you always think someone is responsible for your failures, without looking inward, you have no place on the arena of progress. The blame game may offer you emotional satisfaction, but it changes nothing – the only thing that’ll reposition you is defying the odds, without allowing the distractions of others affect your golden pursuit. If you don’t get bitter, but decide instead, to get better, you’ll be greater. Except you build your life, and I mean, your very life, you’ll remain a punching bag to those with upper…

When people don’t like you, sometimes, somehow, you look inwards to do a soul-search, and to see if you’ve done anything wrong, so that you can make amends. If you aren’t careful, you’d become so critical of yourself to the extent of being so self-negative. Sometimes, when you search within and evaluate yourself, you can’t really see anything that should make a rational human being hate you. At this point, you must understand that ‘when people hate you, you’re not always wrong. They just can’t stand you being right.’ Being right upsets some people. Being truthful and wisely honest irritate some people. They just want you to be in their corner, even when they’re conspicuously wrong. Don’t give in to them, and don’t give up on your values. Stand up and be counted, and even if they don’t count you, keep standing!

Some people are dead souls because they aren’t responding to the breath in them. You got to do, to be. If you bank only on intent or dream, without getting up to chase it, you’ll live a hundred years with empty hands. The only thing that does it is work, work, work. Stop talking, start working. Work on your idea. Work on your dream. Work on your expectations. You can’t reach your desired height mere staring at the sky. You must pull your weight. You must use your physical, mental and spiritual energy. You don’t win by mere vituperations. You win by congregating or fraternising all your skills, strengths and resources – all directed towards that goal. You can make something out of nothing. You can beat your background and succeed where the red lines of impossibilities were drawn against you. You can mock failure and say to him, I…

If you tread a road without leaving a footprint, only those who saw you might remember that you were there, if they choose to – and when they die, the memory dies. But if you walk that road and impress an impact, even if people forget you, history will never. Die to make a difference! You weren’t born to make up the numbers. You’re not here, simply because there’s a vacuum to fill up. You’re here because you can continue from where creativity stopped, and make your impact. Your impact may not be a loud bang. It may not be so conspicuous, glittering like the most beautiful ornaments. It may not diffuse with the sweetest smells of roses in the very early hours of the morning. But you’ve got to understand that a difference isn’t about size or intensity  – it’s about the commitment from the heart to change one…

At the beginning of this year, I published an article on positioning yourself for a successful year, and as the year is fast moving forward, I felt it sensible to remind you about the points mentioned in that lovely article. To make something out of the rest of this year, and to make sure that by the end of the year, you won’t be biting your nails, and be counting your pains instead of your gains, follow me, as I briefly talk about the following points. 1. Review the Past 6 Months: You can’t tell where you’re heading to, if you don’t know where you’re coming from. You must be able to assess your journey so far, so that you can strategize for the one ahead. Unequivocally speaking, review the past six months and account for it – accounting makes you take responsibility for the successes and failures, or for your indifference.…

10 THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU’VE LOST YOUR MOTIVATION Recently, I went through a tumultuous condition – it was like everything wrong was working against me – I was deflated and utterly knackered. For a couple of days, I was in bed looking depressed and worn out, but I knew that my personality wouldn’t let me remain in that condition for long. I’m a man who, in spite of being down, never remain down – somehow, I always find a way to bounce back, and believe me, I do bounce back. As I sat on that bed lamenting on certain things that have happened, I realised that there may be hundreds of thousands of people around the globe subjected to various challenges, and who may not have the energy to recuperate, not because they don’t want to, but because they don’t have the knowledge to. As I took myself out of…
